The Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo is a multidisciplinary event for healthcare planners, designers and builders, as well as operators and managers of healthcare environments.
HOK’s Heather Fenniman joins the symposium for a panel discussion on closing the health disparities gap in Alaska through the Tanana Chiefs Conference, Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center.
The new center in Fairbanks, Alaska, fills a significant void in the patient service area. Prior to the facility’s planning and construction, patients traveled up to 360 miles for care, limiting access to crucial diagnostic and interventional treatment services. This inclusive center also incorporated the Tanana Chiefs culture into its planning and design, prioritizing the needs of its population while reducing health disparities.
Heather’s in-person panel discussion will take place on Sept. 28 at 1 PM PT.
