The Arrival

The privatized residential lobby cocoons visitors, setting the tone for a grand experience balanced with personalized service.

Sheer coverings diffuse light from floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a sanctuary distinct from the city and adjacent hotel.

Custom inlay floors establish a beat and cadence, while furniture vignettes form intimate spaces in the foyer.

Ceiling fixtures, brass and bronze lights, and a salvaged wood installation behind the front desk create a layered, modern, abstract appeal throughout the space.

The Arrival

To emphasize a private, residential experience, the hallways are designed to be more than just corridors; they become part of the journey to a home.

Mini portals, coffers, brass levers, and door plaques contribute to a sense of permanence and arrival on an ergonomic scale. Custom sconces and carpet patterns that break at each portal mimic area rugs, establishing a rhythm and reinforcing a residential architectural structure.

Welcome Home

The building offers a range of residences, from studios to three-bedroom units, as well as two penthouses. Open floor plans, balconies and large floor-to-ceiling windows provide an expansive feel and views of the city and Cumberland River.

The materials and finishes inside each residence clearly connect to themes throughout the space. These include stone, custom millwork, decorative lighting and bespoke shelves. Black walnut wood and blackened steel underscore a crafted and lived-in feel.

Kitchen

Whether hosting dinner parties, enjoying morning coffees, or celebrating family birthdays, gatherings in the kitchen embrace elevated, private living while preserving a clear tie to the city.

Details such as the intentional reveal and contrast point at the foot of the island speak to the sensibilities of the target demographic. Simple, clean design, combined with carefully chosen materials, creates a sense comfortable, everyday living.

Renewal

As an oasis above the city, this space elevates luxurious relaxation and wellness.

Modern design and a neutral, seamless backdrop set the stage for thoughtful features that balance family functionality with luxurious living. These include a sculptural free-standing tub, frosted glass shower, dedicated water closet, double sink and medicine cabinet with LED mirrors.

Retreat

Southern hospitality extends into public spaces, offering residents easy access to a suite of amenities. These include a large kitchen, dog spa, media room, fitness center, formal dining area and a series of lounges.

This level, honoring the rhythm of the community inside, provides a dedicated and private space as a socially activated extension of individual units.

Connection to the City

Working closely with the landscape architect, HOK’s design of the 14th-floor garden preserves a connection to the outdoors and the beat of the city.

Outdoor cabanas, fire pits and lounge areas bring the terrace to life. Organic, meandering pathways and custom-designed sculptural forms reference the facade installation, embodying principles of craftsmanship and regional influences. These elements create a memorable touchpoint and a cohesive, immersive journey from start to finish.
