Daniel Niewoehner AIA

Regional Leader of Science + Technology
“Asking questions drives our work and solutions. It is easy to come at problems with preconceived notions, which is why we pause and ask the questions that probe beyond those limits.”

Daniel brings more than two decades of experience leading the development of integrated scientific and research facilities that lead to innovations and breakthroughs. Based in Chicago, he has led the programming, planning and design for a wide range of interdisciplinary workplaces and labs, including facilities for state and federal agencies such as the Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health.

Daniel is a frequent speaker and author on scientific workplaces and research labs and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, Society for College and University Planning, International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories and the Association of Public Health Labs.
