John MacCallum AIA
John is a principal and senior project designer in HOK’s Philadelphia studio, where he leads the design of a wide range of projects. He focuses on creating architecture that reflects the evolving ways people live, work and learn in the 21st century. John’s approach to design excellence combines strong client relationships, sensitivity to context and a clear project vision.
Over the past two decades, John has designed a wide range of projects, including academic, mixed-use, campus planning, large-scale master planning, multifamily residential, workplace, research, healthcare and retail facilities. His recent projects include the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, LG’s North American Headquarters, the Rowan Rutgers-Camden Joint Health Science Center and The Hayworth Residential Tower.
John is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of architects and designers. He has served as a studio instructor at the Pratt Institute Graduate School of Architecture and as a mentor through the ACE Mentorship Program. He is an active civic leader in his hometown of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
