Paul Jacob AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Managing Principal
“Over the course of my career, I’ve realized that people are at the center of all we do. People need buildings, commission them, design them, construct them and experience them on individual and community levels. This clarity of focus simplifies leadership and magnifies its rewards.”

As managing principal of HOK’s Kansas City office, Paul provides strategic leadership while also focusing on business growth and talent development. With over 40 years of experience in the design and construction industry, he brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to the studio.

Prior to HOK, Paul served as a principal and co-owner of a mid-size architecture firm and vice president/shareholder of a construction management and real estate development company. This diverse background enables him to unite teams by emphasizing shared purpose and common understanding among owners, designers and constructors to achieve successful outcomes on complex projects.

Paul guides HOK teams in translating client priorities into elegant, efficient and buildable design solutions. His project experience includes leading HOK’s team for the design of the $458 million St. Louis CITY SC CITYPARK stadium and training center. A consistent focus in Paul’s career is breathing new life into historic structures through tax credit programs.
