Riccardo Mascia AIA, OAA, LEED AP BD+C
As chief strategy officer, Riccardo oversees creating, implementing, and sustaining strategic initiatives to grow the firm and improve design outcomes. His work aligns and balances HOK’s operational approach with its strategic goals to direct investment, streamline decision-making and track progress toward HOK objectives.
In addition to serving as CSO, Riccardo is the managing principal of HOK’s Chicago studio where he leads a team of architects, urban designers, landscape architects and interior designers in creating elegant design solutions to complex challenges. As an architect, Riccardo promotes a holistic approach to design that brings interdisciplinary thinking and imagination to every project.
Since joining HOK in 1995, Riccardo has held positions of increasing responsibility, leading to his appointment to the firm’s board of directors in 2001 and to its executive committee in 2011. His design and leadership positions in Mexico City, Madrid, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Chicago have given him a wide range of experiences in the world’s most dynamic markets.
